Cape Town SuperSport United head coach Stuart Baxter has urged striker Phumelele Bhengu to remain patient for his chance after rejecting a bid from Highlands Park.
Bhengu is said to be frustrated by a lack of first-team action at Matsatsansa, after going from top scorer of the National First Division with 22 goals for Thanda Royal Zulu in the 2013/14 campiagn to only four substitute appearances with the Tshwane-based side last season.
According to the South Africa international's agent, he has rejected offers from other clubs after speaking to the head coach, who assured him that he would be utilised this coming season.
"Stuart Baxter has told him he is going with him to Spain for a pre-season camp because he has improved," Bhengu's agent, Lizwe Mthethwa told KickOff.
"He said the club is aiming for the league title next season and if they win the league or finish second they will obviously play in the CAF Champions League so he can't go.
"He turned down Highlands Park. But you never know what will happen... it is still early and let's see because he's left with two years."
