Cape Town - SuperSport United coach Stuart Baxter has revealed his intentions to rebuild the team with a number of key signings during the off-season.

Having joined the club in January, Baxter admits that he will be looking to build his own team with his own preferred players.

While Matsatsantsa have captured Cole Alexander from Polokwane City on a pre-contract, Kaizer Chiefs veteran Reneilwe Letsholonyane has also been linked with the club.

"Every team in this league, including Sundowns who are top of the log at the moment, Chiefs, Pirates and Wits, every coach will want to strengthen his team for next season. I am no exception," Baxter told KickOff.

The coach went on to say that he will indeed strengthen his side next season as he wants to raise the level on competition for places in the squad.

Meanwhile, United face Chippa United on Sunday at 15:00 in a Absa Premiership.
