Cape Town - Supersport United head coach Stuart Baxter says he is excited about the potential of new signing Aubrey Modiba.
Modiba joined Matsatsansa on transfer deadline day on a four-year deal, with midfielder Thato Mokeke heading in the opposite direction as part of the transfer deal.
And Baxter is delighted that the deal went through minutes before the window slammed shut.
Comfortable at either left-wing or left-back, the versatile Bafana Bafana youngster has also been lauded as a potential world-class player by club CEO Stan Matthews.
"I have had my eye on Modiba for some time. I'm absolutely delighted to sign him," Baxter told Daily Sun.
"He was one of the best players for South Africa at the recent Olympic Games in Rio and there is much more to come from him. He is one for the future."
Last season Modiba picked up the Absa Premiership Young Player of the Year award after helping Mpumalanga Black Aces to a fourth-place finish in the league standings.
