Baroka snap up Zimbabwe midfielder

2018-11-30 13:30

Cape Town - Baroka have announced the signing of Zimbabwe midfielder Rodwell Chinyengetere.

The 30-year-old joins the Absa Premiership side from FC Platinum on a two-year deal.

The club revealed the news on their official Twitter account, while Baroka CEO Morgan Mammila told KickOff: "Baroka have signed Zimbabwe international Rodwell."

Chinyengetere was named the best player in the Zimbabwean league as FC Platinum claimed the league title this past season.

It is an astonishing feat for the player who thought his career was over in 2012 after a serious injury while playing for Hwange before his move to FC Platinum in 2016.
