Baroka confident ahead of Ajax clash

Cape Town - Baroka FC team manager Lawrence Okwara is confident that their third away victory of the season will come against Ajax Cape Town on Saturday in an Absa Premiership clash.

Of the two away wins this season one was against Ajax's city rivals Cape Town City and Okwara said no amount of travelling gets in the way of the team’s readiness for a challenge.

"If you look at our results for the season, we get more results when we are playing away," said Okwara.

"I don’t know why but the guys seem to focus more when we are playing away. We do well in these away games."

He said they do not fancy the idea of getting a draw in spite drawing four of their last five league matches.

"We are not even thinking about a draw. We are going for a win tomorrow,” said Okwara.

"Ajax will be fighting for a top eight and here we are going to be fighting for our lives."

Baroka are bottom of the table, separated by three points with four of the teams above them.

Bloemfontein Celtic, Chippa United, Free State Stars and Highlands Park will all be in action on Saturday, with each team vying for a top 14 finish at the very least.

Kick off is at 15:00.
