Baroka assistant coach in trouble with the PSL

Cape Town - The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed that the disciplinary committee has brought charges on Baroka FC assistant coach Thoka Matsimela.

Thoka Matsimela was standing in for head coach Wedson Nyirenda in the defeat against Wits on earlier this month.

However, Matsimela, who assumed head coaching duties for match, then failed to attend a mandatory post-match press conference.

PSL communications manager Lux September said: "The PSL has charged Baroka FC coach, Thoka Matsimela, with contravening the NSL compliance manual.

"Mr Matsimela failed to attend a mandatory post-match media press conference media mixed zone after Baroka FC played Bidvest Wits.

"That was on 6 August 2019, at Bidvest Stadium. We will make further announcements on this matter in due course."
