Cape Town - Baroka FC and Golden Arrows shared the spoils in Wednesday's Premiership clash at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Both teams began cautiously and there were few chances in the opening 10 minutes. Yet, in the 13th minute Virgil Vries made a superb save from Kudakwashe Mahachi's strike after good work from Lerato Lamola.
Two minutes later the hosts took the lead as Sipho Moeti struck home after Nkosingiphile Gumede fumbled the ball into his path.
The keeper nearly gifted a second to Baroka after further poor handling, although he was lucky to escape. Just before the break, Nkanyiso Mngwengwe nearly produced an equaliser, but his header from Siphelele Magubane's cross went wide.
After the interval, Arrows offered more threat going forward as Mahachi had an effort on goal which Vries was up to the test with a decent stop. On the hour mark Lamola shot just wide as the pressure increased on Baroka's goal.
In the 62nd minute Gumede then denied a header as Kgoloko Thobejane's side showed more threat going forward. However, Abafana Bes'thende would find the equaliser their pressure deserved as Magubane pounced to make it 1-1 from Mutizwa's fine assist in the 75th minute.
