Cape Town - Stellenbosch FC coach Steve Barker has penned a four year contract to remain at the recently promoted club from the National First Division.
Reports had circulated that the side were considering signing a new coach to prepare for the Premiership campaign, however, they were unfounded.
Barker was instrumental in guiding his side into South Africa's top flight for the first time in their history.
Currently, 'Stellies' are evaluating their squad in order to prepare and make new acquisitions for 2019/20.
Nonetheless, the side will have a measure of stability with Barker remaining on board until at least 2023 if all goes well.
He told KickOff: "I have signed a four-year deal.
"Our first objective next season is to consolidate our status in the premier league."
Out of favour Mamelodi Sundowns keeper Thela Ngobeni has been linked with a switch to the side. His contract with the Brazilians expires at the end of June.
