Bakgaga chase Orlando Pirates defender

Cape Town - Baroka FC are reportedly on the verge of signing out of favour Orlando Pirates defender Justice Chabalala on a loan deal.

Chabalala made no appearances in 2018/19 and recorded just seven Premiership starts in 2017/18 as well.

As such, it appears Pirates are open to letting him make a move in order to get more playing time.

Happy Jele and Alfred Ndengane have been the regular starters in central defence meaning it seems unlikely the 27-year-old will break through anytime soon.

A source told KickOff: "Baroka are interested to sign Chabalala. Both clubs have already started negotiations over his services.

"The deal could be completed this week with Justice Chabalala going to Baroka on loan."

Bakgaga have made a raft of new signings ahead of 2019/20 with Gerald Phiri Jnr, Kamohelo Mogashwa, Sibonelo Ngubane, Manuel Kambala, Richard Mbulu and Phelelang Mfanafuthi Shozi all coming on board.
