Anthony Laffor ignoring transfer speculation

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns winger Anthony Laffor is refusing to pay any attention to speculation over his future, as he enters the final six months of his current contract.

The 33-year-old Liberian will soon be able to negotiate a pre-contract with another club, should he decide that his future lies away from Chloorkop.

However, Laffor insists it is too soon to think about his future, and says he is happy being a Sundowns player.

"It's too soon to talk about that," Laffor said when asked about his future plans. "I am a Sundowns player and because of that I am happy. I have to be happy, and the team is not doing badly.

"People out there can talk, but I remain humble. We will see what will happen later, but at the moment I am a Sundowns player."

He added: "I am not crazy, I am responsible. I just need to keep things simple – keep my feet on the ground and see what happens."

Laffor has been with Masandawana since 2012, having previously turned out for SuperSport United and Jomo Cosmos.
