AmaZulu strongly deny Eymael approach

Cape Town - AmaZulu have strongly denied comments made by Luc Eymael that he was approached by Usuthu shortly after resigning from his role as Black Leopards head coach.

Eymael made the shock revelation on Thursday, but just a couple of hours later, AmaZulu came out on their website to quickly rubbish the claims.

AmaZulu General Manager Lunga Sokhela said of the matter: "Unfortunately something like this, coming from a coach such as Mr Eymael, with all due respect cannot be taken seriously."

"It is not anything new that as soon as he is not attached to any club in the PSL, unfounded rumours surface about his interest at the expense of someone’s integrity.

"We just want to make it clear that AmaZulu have shown no interest or contacted Luc Eymael about joining AmaZulu.

"This is totally unprofessional and disrespectful to coach Josef Vukusic who enjoys one hundred percent support from the board and management."

The Belgian mentor is no stranger to controversy and has now taken the reins at Tanzanian side Young Africans, saying he was interested in the AmaZulu job but ended talks because the club were delaying.
