Cape Town - AmaZulu have confirmed the signings of Moeneeb Josephs, Marc van Heerden, Nhlanhla Vilakazi and Emiliano Tade.
Former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Josephs joins from Bidvest Wits. At 38 years of age, the former Bafana goalkeeper brings plenty of experience to the mix.
Van Heerden joins straight from the Buccaneers, having recently confirmed his departure from the Soweto giants. Having enjoyed an eight-year stint at AmaZulu before joining Chippa United and then moving on to the Bucs, he has chosen to go back to the club where he made a name for himself.
Midfielder Vilakazi joins from Free State Stars, after it was revealed in March that he had signed a pre-contract agreement with Usuthu by Ea Lla Koto general manager Rantsi Mokoena.
Meanwhile, former Auckland City striker Tade joins in another long-awaited move.
"We have to welcome back the players after six weeks of being off. We also have to welcome our new signings, who have been brought in for the new season," head coach Cavin Johnson told the club's official website.
"Nhlanhla Vilakazi, Marc Van Heerden, Moeneeb Josephs and Emiliano Tade - respect to them because they are looking fine."
AmaZulu were bumped out of the MTN8 as a result of Ajax Cape Town's seven point penalty, which saw SuperSport United climb up the Premiership table.
However, after judge Denise Fisher set aside the ruling, Usuthu now look likely to appear in the competition.
