Cape Town - AmaZulu have sent striker Mhlengi Cele out on loan to Kwa-Zulu Natal rivals Richards Bay FC as he does not fit into their first-team plans.
Cele, who was on Kaizer Chiefs' radar a few years ago after scoring 19 goals in the National First Division in 2016/17, has struggled for game time at Usuthu this campaign.
The 32-year-old forward has so far managed only three appearances in the Absa Premiership and couldn't find the back of the net.
Cele will now join Richards Bay FC until the end of the season to help them out in the NFD, where they are currently floating around mid-table.
"Wishing everything of the best to Mhlengi Magaye Cele as he joins Richards Bay FC on loan," an AmaZulu club statement read.
