AmaZulu are chasing former Bafana Bafana striker Mabhuti Khenyeza for money he owes the Premier Soccer League (PSL) club.
The 37-year-old was employed as an assistant coach, having retired with the club, before jumping ship and joining GladAfrica Championship TS Galaxy as head coach.
Usuthu have already warned the player he needs to pay off the remainder of his two-year deal, with chief executive Lunga Sokhela adamant they will not back down.
Reported by IOL, Sokhela said: "Mabhuti is welcome to go to TS Galaxy, but you must remember that he still had a contract with AmaZulu. So, he must pay his dues to AmaZulu.
"He must pay us because we respected him last season when he left AmaZulu to join Maritzburg United and welcomed him back when things didn’t turn out the way he expected. So, he must pay his dues to AmaZulu."
Khenyeza, who left AmaZulu at the beginning of the year, has signed a new two-and-half-year deal with Galaxy.
