Amazula make Morton approach

Cape Town - AmaZulu are believed to have made an approach for SuperSport United midfielder Michael Morton in preparation for their return to the Premiership.

Usuthu will compete in the top tier of South African football for the first time in three seasons, having bought the PSL franchise rights of National First Division champions Thanda Royal Zulu.

Morton has won back-to-back Nedbank Cup titles with Matsatsantsa in the last two campaigns, but KickOff reports that the Durban club are ready to offer him more regular football in 2017/18.

The 28-year-old started just seven league games for the team from Pretoria last term, making 18 appearances in all domestic competitions.

Meanwhile SuperSport have added two new signings to their squad for the upcoming 2017/18 season with the addition of Siyabonga Nhlapo and Prince Dube

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
