Amakhosi legend appointed interim coach at Moroka Swallows

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs legend Fani Madida has been appointed as interim coach at Moroka Swallows, the club confirmed.

Madida will be in the hot seat of the first division outfit after the sacking of Zeca Marques on Tuesday.

The 52-year-old is the technical director at Swallows but will now temporarily take the coaching reins.

Swallows boss David Mogashoa told KickOff: "Yes, Fani Madida is the coach but only on a caretaker basis."

Marques was fired after Swallows made a poor start to their season in the newly named GladAfrica Championship, only collecting four points from their first five games.

Swallows' next game in the league will be against TS Galaxy on Saturday.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
