Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs pair Eric Mathoho and Samir Nurkovic have both been nominated for the August Goal of the Month award.
With Chiefs sitting pretty at the top of the Absa Premiership table, both players have been instrumental in Amakhosi's early form, having started all four games of the 2019/20 campaign to date.
Long-time defender Mathoho was nominated for his headed winner against Black Leopards, while new signing Nurkovic’s goal in the Tshwane Derby against SuperSport United is also in the running for the gong.
"Voting is open for the supporters to select the August Absa Premiership Goal of the Month," a statement on Chiefs' website read.
"Kaizer Chiefs duo of Erick Mathoho and Samir Nurkovic are vying for the award following the shortlisting of their goals scored in August.
"Tower scored a solitary winner in the 12th minute against Black Leopards.
"The match was played on 10 August at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
"Nurkovic scored his in the 14th minute in a drawn match against SuperSport United.
"The match was played on 24 August at FNB Stadium."
