Cape Town - Maritzburg United defender Nazeer Allie says the club simply have to win at any cost if they are to survive relegation in 2018/19.
Maritzburg are currently marooned at the bottom of the Absa Premiership table on 17 points from 24 matches, and are four points behind Baroka and Chippa United in 15th and 16th place respectively.
As such, Friday night's PSL clash against Bloemfontein Celtic is of huge importance to the Team of Choice.
Allie said: "In the last two weeks we've been preparing very well, we will be treating all our remaining games like finals, starting this Friday against Celtic.
"Looking at our position, we don't need any motivation, we're playing against a side that has been doing well despite off-the-field issues, it won't be easy.
"We beat them in the first round but it was an ugly win because most of the time we were defending.
"It does give us a morale-boost but it won't be easy, we have to make sure we defend well as we haven't done that in our last three encounters, we have to improve there.
"As long we win, we're good. There's no time for fancy football, we need points now."
The encounter between the two sides is set to take place at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg.
Kick-off is at 20:00.
