Ajax reveal pre-season schedule

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town have revealed their pre-season training regime, which will include friendly matches against the likes of Bidvest Wits and Vasco Da Gama.

The Ikamva-based outfit have been hard at work in preparation for the 2016/17 Premiership season, which is set to commence on 23 August 23 with Roger De Sa's men facing newly-promoted Baroka FC at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

Performance coach Derick Malone is currently fine-tuning the Cape side's fitness, strength and conditioning with the aim being that the players reach their full potential as soon as possible.

According o the club's official website, De Sa's outfit will play five pre-season friendlies, with National First Division as well as PSL competition being lined-up.

Full Schedule:

- Saturday, 30 July, 10h30 vs Bidvest Wits, TBC.
- Friday, 5 August, 10h30 vs FC Cape Town, TBC.
- Tuesday, 9 August, 10h30 vs TBC.
- Tuesday, 16 August, 10h30 vs Cape Town All Stars, TBC.

The club also revealed that they will embark on a training camp in George from 10 to 14 August and encouraged supporters to come out in numbers during the scheduled pre-season fixture.

"Our entire PSL squad will go on a training camp to George from 10 August until 14 August, playing a total of four training matches, with the opposition and venues to be confirmed closer to the time."

"Our supporters are welcome to come and support our boys during their training matches, this will certainly get us all in a football buzz when the first match at Cape Town Stadium finally arrives," the statement read.
