Ajax hit three past Celtic

Bloemfontein - Ajax Cape Town produced a thoroughly professional performance as they thumped Bloemfontein Celtic 3-0 in their Premiership encounter at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium on Saturday.

Goals from forwards Prince Nxumalo,Thabo Mosadi and midfielder Ndiviwe Mdabuka handed the visitors a resounding victory over the men from Bloemfontein.

The Capetonians started on the front foot, as they had an attempt on goal in the 11th minute. Mosa Lebusa's cross found Nxumalo in the box, but the striker's effort hit the side netting.

In the 20th minute, Ajax eventually made their possession count when Mdabuka rose highest to head home and give his team a deserved 1-0 advantage.

It remained that way until the break and five minutes after the restart, Siwelele had a golden opportunity to equalise.

Mthokozisi Dube was brought down in the box by an untidy tackle from Mark Mayambela but Musa Nyatama failed to convert the resulting spot-kick - striking a low shot onto the right side post, of an outstretched Jody February.

The Urban Warriors doubled their advantage in the 67th minute when Mosadi went on a mazy run before finding Nxumalo in the area, who slotted the ball past Patrick Tignyemb.

Three minutes from time Stanley Menzo's men killed off the game as the lively Mosadi broke through the defence with pace and scored with a smart dinked finish, over the onrushing Tignyemb.
