Cape Town - According to football agent Tim Sukazi,
former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo could be playing for
Orlando Pirates next season.
Khuzwayo's future has been the subject of much speculation, and while there has been no official word about his next move, Sukazi told IOL this week that Pirates are a likely destination for the Bafana-capped Khuzwayo.
"The negotiations with Pirates are promising. We also think he will fit in there. The fans also want him at Pirates so it looks promising," Sukazi revealed.
Khuzwayo joined Chiefs from Thanda Royal Zulu (where he had been on loan from AmaZulu) in 2012, but despite doing well enough to get into the national team frame, was not able to dislodge number one Amakhosi and Bafana Bafana keeper Itumeleng Khune.
The 28-year-old Khuzwayo played in just three league games for Chiefs last season, and in only 27 league matches over the past six seasons (with a further seven cup showings). His best campaign came in 2014/ 15, when he started 16 Premiership matches.
Pirates used three goalkeepers nearly equally in the league last season - Siyabonga Mpontshane played seven times, Jackson Mabokgwane made 12 appearances and Wayne Sandilands featured in 11 matches.
