Agent drops Mayambela case

Cape Town - Agent Josiah Mphono has opted to drop the case against former client Mark Mayambela following his exit from SuperSport United.

Mphono's dispute stems from back when Mayambela used another representative to negotiate his move to Matsatsantsa in January.

Mphono moved to sue the 28-year-old midfielder due to a breach of contract, but he has since been released by the Premiership club.

"I with my partners, decided not to pursue the matter to fight with him," Mphono told KickOff.

"But besides football, he was a friend to me. I spoke to my colleague to say let's not proceed with the matter and we didn't speak to Mark and we decided to let it slide for him to go to SuperSport.

"Mark is a good guy, and it was unfortunate what has happened to him at SuperSport. What happened to him is not good because he has a family, he has a young boy and his mother... I think any individual deserves a chance."
