Aces promote teenage forward

Cape Town - Mushin Ertugral has decided to promote highly-rated forward Nana Akosah-Bempah into the first-team squad at Mpumlanga Black Aces.

The United States-born player was a surprise inclusion on the AmaZayoni bench this weekend during their Nedbank Cup win over Maritzburg United and has subsequently been drafted into the professional side, having impressed Ertugral over the past few weeks.

Ertugral confirmed that the player, who has resided in South Africa for the past ten years, will don the number 37 jersey, while also comparing him to club captain Collins Mbesuma.

"Nana reminds a bit like a young Collins Mbesuma," the former Ajax Cape Town boss said upon the news of his promotion.

Akosah-Bempah had previously spent time in the UK after receiving an invitation to train with Manchester City's development side.
