Aces move up to 2nd on PSL log

Nelspruit - Mpumalanga Black Aces defeated Ajax Cape Town 1-0 in an exciting Absa Premiership game at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday night.

Collins Mbesuma’s 42nd minute strike was enough to hand the home side victory over their Cape opponents.

The win took Aces up to second on the overall PSL standings.

Both sides were guilty of a host of missed chances in a game that was evenly contested, with Ajax perhaps unlucky to not at least earn a point.

The men from Cape Town are now languishing at 13th on the overall log.

Teams:

Aces: Walters, Mzava, Matsi, Ngalo, Nonyane, Modiba (Sherman 70’), Khuboni, Tukane, Manyama, Moseamedi (Kobola 46’), Mbesuma (Masina 88’)

Ajax: Jaakkola, Lebusa, Mobara, Coetzee, Ncube, Mzwakali (Mdabuka 86’), Losper (Nxumalo 65’), Graham, Cale (Eksteen 79’), Isaacs, Paulse
