'A dream come true to sign for Chiefs' - Manyama

Cape Town - New recruit Lebogang Manyama says it's a dream come true to sign for Kaizer Chiefs after penning a three-year deal with the club.

Amakhosi captured free-agent Manyama's services after he ended a spell at Turkish side Konyaspor who mutually agreed to terminate his contract.

"It’s a dream come true," Manyama said. "I have supported Chiefs from a young age. I grew up on the same street as Brian Baloyi in Alexandra and that’s how I fell in love with the club.

"I now want to help the club win trophies and to achieve glory, because that’s what the Kaizer Chiefs brand represents to me."

The 27-year-old midfielder earned a move to Turkey in 2017 on the back of an outstanding campaign with Cape Town City, which saw him scoop numerous accolades, including Absa Premiership Footballer of the Season.

However, Manyama failed to establish himself at the Konya Buyuksehir Stadium and was expected to leave the Turkish Super Lig outfit after making just 10 first-team appearances.
