Pretoria - Mamelodi Sundowns winger Themba Zwane has praised his team-mates for their outstanding performance following their 2-0 triumph over Chippa United at the weekend.
The Brazilians defeated the Chilli Boys in the Telkom Knockout last 16 encounter at the Lucas Moripe Stadium courtesy of Hlompho Kekana and Keagan Dolly strikes.
The former Mpumalanga Black Aces midfielder said that the Pretoria giants have found their rhythm following their poor start to the 2015/16 Absa Premiership campaign.
“It’s all about the team work at the end of the day," said Zwane.
“And the spirit is very high in our camp at the moment because we were not winning games.
“But we have been winning games recently, this is our third win in a row and the momentum keeps going up.
“We have good attacking players like Keagan Dolly, Khama Billiat and Cuthbert Malajila in our team and they are contributing a lot.
“I’m happy because we are now going to the quarter final of the competition and it was all about team effort.”
The Brazilians will battle against Free State Stars in the last 8 of the R14.2m competition.
