Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu confirmed that “one big” team in Portugal is interested in his services.
The 23-year-old is currently with Bafana Bafana squad in South America and has already stared alongside Andile Jali in midfield as South Africa won Costa Rica 1-0.
Zungu’s contract expires with the Chloorkop side at the end of the season and Sundowns have not hide the fact that they are looking to tie down the player.
According to KickOff, Zungu says that despite the interest of numerous clubs he is completely focused on the tour with Bafana Bafana.
“It is not something I would like to delve into at this moment in time as we prepare for the Honduras game but yes, a few clubs including one big one from Portugal have made some serious enquiries,” says Zungu from the Bafana camp.
“Definitely, my ultimate goal is to play overseas; that is where you can take your profession to the next level, mixing it up with the best in the business.”
