Zulu heading to Chiefs

Cape Town - Chippa United striker David Zulu will be playing for Kaizer Chiefs next year after signing for the Glamour Boys this week.

According to Kickoff.com website, 28-year-old Zulu, who finished last season as the top scorer in the National First Division, has signed a four-year deal with the Amakhosi.

“David has signed a four-year contract with Chiefs." a senior Chippa United official has disclosed.

"He didn’t train with us on Monday as he was in Jo’burg finalising the deal and I can tell you that he has done exactly that so he is moving in January.

"The chairman [Chippa Mpengesi] was the one who asked David if he wants to leave and the player said yes.

“That’s why the team signed Edward Manqele, because David is leaving,”

Zulu’s agent Abbie Rasimphi of Liberate Resources Sports Management declined to comment on the matter.

Zulu has scored four goals this season and was last season's National First Division's top scorer with 16 goals while playing for Black Leopards.

The Chippa United striker's recent form has seen the player called up to the Bafana Bafana squad under Shakes Mashaba.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
