Cape Town - Serame Letsoaka has taken up the role of head coach at Lamontville Golden Arrows with gusto and has already let it be known that he will return to the club’s traditions of promoting young talent.
“We are going to have very strong youth structures here,” he declared in a chat with Sport24.
Under the command of Manqoba Mngqithi Arrows introduced number of young players to the PSL that later went on to make names for themselves – either at ‘bigger’ South African clubs or abroad.
Letsoaka told Sport24 that Abafan Bes’thende would return to that system.
“It is important to know that we will lose a number of the players that we will be producing and as a result of that we need to make sure that we have a very good conveyor belt so that when we lose a player we are able to replace him internally.
“Us being a team without a sponsor, buying players for us in a certain way is out of the question but there is a lot of talent in this country.
“We will work hard to ensure that the talent that is out there is identified and it is brought up properly. I would like to see a situation where our development gives us two players a year.
