Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfield maestro Reneilwe Letsholonyane says the main objective of his team is to win silverware every season.
“Yeye” was speaking to Chiefs' official website ahead of their Telkom Knockout semi-final clash against Platinum Stars on Saturday night.
“As a team we aim for silverware in every season. It goes for the players as individuals as well,” said Letsholonyane.
“It is important to bag some silverware in the season. This is the second silverware we will be contesting for this season and it is an opportunity to go to the final.”
Amakhosi will take on Dikwena at the FNB Stadium and Letsholonyane is well aware of a threat that might be posed by the Tycoons of the North West Province, who have already won the MTN8 Cup this season.
“Platinum Stars is doing well currently. They have already won a trophy this season and it’s not going to be an easy game.
“We will remain humble and not underestimate them. We are preparing and working hard to be ready for Saturday,” he added.
In the other semi-final, Orlando Pirates travel to Pretoria to meet Cavin Johnson’s SuperSport United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Kick-off for that match is scheduled for 15:00, while the Chiefs and Stars game is scheduled to commence at 20:15.
