Cape Town - It has been revealed that Reneilwe Letsholonyane will return for Kaizer Chiefs as they prepare for a hectic week of fixtures.

Yeye has been granted time away from Naturena following the passing of his father. The veteran midfielder was further given time off to spend with his family as they mourn his father’s sudden death.

Chiefs prepare themselves for the daunting task of playing three games in seven days – Ajax Cape Town, Orlando Pirates and Maritzburg United.

According to Soccer Laduma, Letsholonyane will be in contention to play against Ajax - a game which serves as curtain raiser for the much anticipated Soweto derby on Saturday.

"Yes, he was given leave to rest and be with the family but will be available for selection on Wednesday when we play Ajax Cape Town,” said an unnamed source.

“I think the coach wants to give him some game time before the derby on Saturday so that he goes into the derby match fit.

“The team needs all the players now looking at our schedule as we will be playing more games within a short period of time.”

Kaizer Chiefs fixtures:

Chiefs vs Ajax – 19:30 (Wednesday, March 4)
Chiefs vs Pirates – 15:30 (Saturday, March 7)
Maritzburg vs Chiefs – 19:30 (Wednesday, March 11)
