Cape Town - The worst kept secret in South African football will be confirmed on Tuesday when Siyanda Xulu is unveiled as a Kaizer Chiefs player.
According to Supersport.com, sources close to the player said the centre-back has signed a four-year deal with AmaKhosi after securing his release from cash-strapped Russian Premier League side FC Rostov.
Although it has long been mooted that the player would make the move to Naturena, his arrival has now been confirmed and he will be unveiled at 09:30 today along with a number of other new signings for Chiefs.
Xulu, who was part of the development structures at Chiefs before moving to Mamelodi Sundowns in 2009, could have re-joined the Chloorkop side but instead opted to sign for his boyhood idols.
He is seen as the natural replacement for departed PSL and Chiefs Player of the Season Tefu Mashamaite, who himself could be headed for Sundowns.
Xulu will want to make up for lost time after a torrid spell in Russia where he was not paid his full salary and as such fell out with the club and has barely played for the last year.
Other players thought likely to be unveiled by Chiefs are defenders Daniel Cardoso and Keegan Ritchie, as well as striker Camaldine Abraw.
