Cape Town - Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane is hopeful that Saturday's clash against Kaizer Chiefs in the Soweto derby will be entertaining, and he wants to produce his best form.

After a difficult campaign for the Sea Robbers last season, Mabokgwane has since reclaimed the No.1 spot with the Milutin Sredojevic-coached outfit.

Initially, Wayne Sandilands appeared to be first choice, however, the 30-year-old has established himself as the club's No 1 in recent times.

"As a goalkeeper, you are judged more harshly than the other players. When you make a mistake it becomes a big thing," Mabokgwane told reporters.

"After those difficult moments I just told myself that I need to work hard and put it behind me because I know what I am capable of as a keeper.

"I have a strong mentality which is one of my strengths. I am not easily shaken no matter how difficult the situation."

The Bafana Bafana international added he was looking forward to making his debut in the derby, saying: "I am looking forward to playing for the first time.

"It is a match that means a lot to the fans and is watched by the entire country. (But) at the end of the day three points are on the line and we are aiming (for that)."

Saturday's game is set to take place at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

The action gets underway from 15:30.
