Wits swoop for striker Lupeta

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits have added more firepower to their frontline after signing striker Joaquim Lupeta from Portuguese outfit Vitoria de Setubal.

The 22-year-old links up with the Clever Boys following a one-year spell on the books of Setubal.

Prior to that, Lupeta represented Hungarian club Videoton FC having come through the youth system of Portuguese giants Porto.

A statement on the club's official website read: "We are excited to have Lupeta join the Bidvest Wits family, and wish him a successful career at our club."

Lupeta, who was born in Lisbon, carries dual nationality as his parents are of Congolese descent.
