Wits skipper off to Denmark

Johannesburg - Wits and Bafana Bafana midfielder, Sibusiso Vilakazi, is on his way to Denmark, where he is expected to go on trial at Brondby IF.

According to Soccer Laduma's website, Vilakazi will join up with Brondby's first team squad later this week to begin his trial.

The 10-time Danish league champions have long admired the Wits skipper, and have made their interests clear after watching him in action in the Clever Boys' goalless draw against the University of Pretoria.

Brondby subsequently invited Vilakazi for a week-long trial during which Wits have no competitive matches scheduled.

Vilakazi has started every one of Wits' 21 PSL matches this season, scoring seven goals, including a hat-trick against SuperSport United.

His contract with Wits runs until the end of the 2014/2015 season.
