Wits became the first team to beat Kaizer Chiefs in an away match this season, defeating the Soweto club 2-1 in midweek.

The Johannesburg side has claimed 27 points from 14 home matches this season.

The Clever Boys are placed fourth on the Absa Premiership log with 49 points from 29 matches.

Stars ended a five-game winless streak with a 3-1 home victory against Polokwane City in midweek.

The Rustenburg side has claimed 13 points from 14 away matches this season.

Dikwena are placed 10th on the Absa Premiership log with 34 points from 29 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Wits and Stars have met in 21 league matches since 2003/04.

The record between the teams is dead even, with seven wins apiece, seven draws and 20 goals scored by each.

Wits have won five of their 10 home matches against Stars, suffering two defeats in the process.

When the teams met earlier this season, they played to a goalless stalemate in Rustenburg.

Kick-off is at 15:00 on Saturday, May 9.
