Cape Town - SuperSport United goalkeeper Ronwen Williams has set himself a target of conceding less goals and keeping more clean sheets in the upcoming season.
The 23-year-old has his eye on a call-up to the Bafana Bafana setup after being on the selection fringes.
He has watched on as Itumeleng Khune, Brilliant Khuzwayo, Jackson Mabokgwane, Siyabonga Mpontshane and SuperSport reserve Dumisani Msibi were picked ahead of him in recent seasons.
Williams is looking for an improved return in the next campaign after conceding 46 goals in 37 games.
"Things haven't been going my way; I conceded a lot of goals last season so I'm not surprised that I’m not there [Bafana] at the moment," Williams told KickOff.
"I remember coach Gavin Hunt told me when I started that if you concede less that 20 goals you will win the League.
"Look at Kaizer Chiefs. I think they conceded...that's half the amount I conceded. I'm not happy with that, but there are still a lot of positives I took from last season."
