Cape Town - Ronwen Williams was full of praise for the effort put in by
Platinum Stars in Saturday's Telkom Knockout final, but admits he was
most pleased to see SuperSport United emerge victorious.
The Matsatsantsa goalkeeper proved one of the heroes of the day after saving an extra-time penalty when the scores were 2-2, allowing Thuso Phala to go on and net the winner at the other end as United won the match 3-2.
For Dikwena, it was more cup heartbreak as they have now conceded both the Ziwa Mo and MTN8 titles they won last season, but Williams feels the Rustenburg outfit can still take plenty of positives from the match.
"It was a very tough game. Platinum Stars, they are experienced, they know what it takes to play in a final," SuperSport keeper Williams said after this weekend's Orlando Stadium showpiece.
"They have been in three finals in the last year so they knew what it would take, but the guys managed."
