Wanga set for Wits deal

Cape Town - Allan Wanga has begun the process of obtaining a South African work permit after impressing during trials at Bidvest Wits.

The Harambee Stars striker has spent the past week training with the Clever Boys, where he has seemingly done enough to convince head coach Gavin Hunt of his credentials.

However, Wanga - who is a free agent after his deal with Sudan outfit Al Mereikh expired in May - has been forced to return to Nairobi to gather the necessary paperwork, but remains hopeful of quickly sorting out his permit.

"I am really glad things went so well in the trials and the coach was impressed and he gave me his nod. I even scored a nice goal in the game I played," the Kenyan International told Supersport.com.

"The process of securing the work permit has just begun that is why I was forced to come back home and get a certificate of good conduct then I will immediately travel back to South Africa to present it to the home office to help in my application that will allow me to play for Bidvest Wits."
