Vilakazi wants Students stay

Cape Town - Sibusiso Vilakazi says he will remain with Bidvest Wits for next season, where he hopes to help finally lead the club to silverware.

The forward has been strongly linked with a move away from the Students, with Kaizer Chiefs thought to be keen admirers of the 25-year-old.

However, Vilakazi has now looked to end any speculation over his future, telling KickOff: "My ambition is to do well for the team. I think I am at the point whereby I feel we need to do something for Wits.

"The boss has been able to pump in money and we need to reward him with trophies as well. He has showed good motivation and belief that we can do it as a team. He has tried to bring players to compete and win something at the end of the season."

Vilakazi also believes the recent capture of Daine Klate from Orlando Pirates is a signal of Wits' intent for next term, adding: "He [Klate] has been in the game for some time. He has won titles with different teams. He is a winner. I think he is bringing in experience and that winning attitude to the team."
