Vilakazi urged to stay at Wits

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits captain Thulani Hlatshwayo is hopeful that his friend and teammate, Sibusiso Vilakazi, will stay at the Milpark-based club.

The interest of Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns in the Wits midfield maestro has been well documented in recent times.

Hlatshwayo has pleaded with Vilakazi to reject the offers from their PSL rivals and commit his future to the Clever Boys.

"The team would like to keep 'Vila'. He's a good player and knows the Wits tradition," Hlatshwayo told KickOff.

"I'm close with Vila. It's something personal and he knows what he's going through. All I have to do is just be there for him.

"If he wants to speak to me then I can advise where I can but like I said it's a personal thing for Vila."
