Van Heerden set for AmaZulu stay

Cape Town - Marc van Heerden could stay with AmaZulu for another Premiership season now that Usuthu seem likely to buy back their top-flight status, according to his agent.

The Bafana Bafana international had been on the lookout for a new club following AmaZulu's relegation to the NFD, but should they succeed in purchasing a Premiership place from Mpumalanga Black Aces, Van Heerden would be willing to continue at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

"Now that there's talk of AmaZulu being back in the PSL we just have to wait and see what transpires," Mike Makaab told Soccer Laduma.

"Mark is contracted to AmaZulu. We have been talking to clubs because AmaZulu said they were willing to try and sell him, but we'll have to see how that pans out now.

"He's totally committed to the club, he has a long-term contract, and if he stays at AmaZulu then he'll of course give his all for them."
