Aces target AmaZulu win

Cape Town - Black Aces will look to end their winless streak in the Absa Premiership when they host AmaZulu at Mbombela Stadium.

Aces suffered a fourth defeat from their last five league matches when they went down 2-1 away to University of Pretoria late last month.

The Mpumalanga club has claimed eight points from 10 home matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Ajax Cape Town (away), Moroka Swallows (home) and Orlando Pirates (away).

AmaZayoni are placed 12th on the Absa Premiership log with 22 points from 20 matches.

AmaZulu claimed just their second league win of the season when they defeated SuperSport United 5-2 away last weekend.

The Durban side has claimed eight points from 11 away matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Bidvest Wits (home), Chippa United (away) and Free State Stars (home).

Usuth are placed 16th on the log with 12 points from 20 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Aces and AmaZulu have met in 32 league matches since 1985.

AmaZayoni have 13 wins compared to 12 for Usuthu, while seven matches have been drawn.

Aces have won nine of their 15 home matches against AmaZulu, suffering four defeats in the process.

When the teams met earlier this season, AmaZayoni claimed a 3-1 away win in Durban.

Kick-off is at 20:15 on Saturday, March 7.
