Two-week camp for Pirates

Cape Town – Eric Tinkler reveals that Orlando Pirates will partake in a two week camp ahead of the new PSL season.

According to the club’s official website, Tinkler and his technical team had to trim a squad of over 60 players in order to take with to the camp, which will be held in Nelspruit.

“We had quite a number of players, mainly comprising of our squad from the last season, as well as players returning from loan," said the Buccaneers coach.

“We also have the inclusion of new players as well as trialists to add to the mix.

“Naturally, you will have a big squad if all of the above are factored in but with our pre-season camp around the corner we had to cut the squad down drastically.

“We decided to give all the players a run over a two week period just to see how they fare, how they fit into the system and who we can take with to our pre-season camp.”
