Two changes in Black Label Cup

Cape Town - The introduction of Booster Votes in this year's Carling Black Label Cup has seen changes to both the Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates starting XIs ahead of the August 1 showpiece.

The system sees two lucky Champion Coaches earn a whopping 50 000 votes to spend on a player of their choice, and this month's two winners have already made their choices known, altering the XIs for both Amakhosi and the Buccaneers.

For the Chiefs portion of the Booster Votes, George Maluleka was the recipient, with the voting bundle launching the midfielder into the first-team, replacing stalwart Willard Katsande for the Soccer City event.

For Pirates, the change is also in midfield, with rising star Menzi Masuku relegated to the bench after Sifiso Myeni gathered up the 50 000 votes to plunge himself into a starting berth.

However, the respective XIs are by no means written in stone and fans still have time to alter the squads' fates, with around two weeks to go before this year's FNB Stadium spectacular.

Starting XI (as of Thursday, 16 July):

Kaizer Chiefs: Khuzwayo, Masilela, Xulu, Moleko, Gaxa, Tshabalala, Letsholonyane, Maluleka, Lebese, Parker, Zulu

Orlando Pirates: Mhlongo, Matlaba, Sangweni, Mahamutsa, Jele, Myeni, Sarr, Manyisa, Rakhale, Erasmus, Majoro.
