Pretoria - Two quick first half goals from Khethukuthula Zwane and a late goal from Thabo Mnyamane handed University of Pretoria a 3-0 PSL victory over Pokokwane City at Tuks Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

University of Pretoria made the first effort on goal in the 11th minute as Partson Jaure took a chance just outside the box but his shot went a bit wide on the right.

In the 19th minute, Polokwane City were dangerous on crosses with Punch Masenamela diverting well-floated balls into the box but Tuks held firm.

Zwane opened the scoring for Tuks in the 30th minute. He grabbed the goal with his left foot following an assist from Vuyisile Ntombayithethi from a free-kick scramble.

Seven minutes later Zwane made it 2-0 for Tuks. This time, he slotted home the ball with his right foot following an assist from Thabiso Nkoana.

Rise and Shine nearly pulled one back in the 50th minute when Jabu Maluleke hit a shot from a direct free-kick which hit the bar.

In the 74th minute, Jabulani Nene took a shot just outside the box but Washington Arubi made a good save to deny City.

Masenamela took a long range shot in the 81st minute but it went wide.

Mnyamane took the game away from Polokwane City adding a third goal in the 84th minute.
