Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs winger Siphiwe Tshabalala has cooled speculation over his future by signing a new three-year deal with the Soweto giants.

The Bafana Bafana ace committed to Chiefs on Tuesday after Crystal Palace revealed they may only offer him a deal in June following his recent trial with the Championship side.

Amakhosi general manager Bobby Motaung was delighted with 'Shabba's' decision to stay at Naturena.

"We are delighted that Tshabalala has renewed his contract after he was given time by the executive chairman (Kaizer Motaung) to ponder about his future," 'Bobsteak' told the club's official website.

"He has always been loyal to the club and his experience will be important at this stage of the season."

Tshabalala has been a stand-out performer for Chiefs since arriving from Free State Stars in 2006.

Good news that te matter between the player and the club is finally resolved. I can only imagine the anxiety that it caused to Kaizer Chiefs fans and members of the public. However, I blame both the club management and the player's agent. While the outcome of the whole tussle should be commended, however, it clearly shows that the two were in pursuit of their own selfish interest when the future of the poor player was at stake. Imagine what would have happened to the player's career if Chiefs management had looked the other way after Crystal Palace had indicated its disinterest on the player and agent's commitment if the player is without club?

This player is just creating a situation out of nothing. I mean does he realy think he is good enough 2 play overseas, and worse still at his age. 1 goal in the world cup cannot guarantee you an overseas move. He must just be content with whatever is available @ Chiefs. The best he can do is to help them fight for a number 3 spot on the log standing, thats if Sundowns and Supersport dont flop, Pirates of course being the best team in the land

If Crystal Palace were serious about Shabba, they would have done everything in their powers to secure his services. Shabba has done well to build himself as a brand therefore, he can not just jeportize his football career by signing with any team that does not have his best interest. Who knows how long Shabba would have lasted at this club before he hit rock bottom. Talented players like Bongani Khumalo can attest to this

Shabba is in a leagues of his own....its unfortunate the Europe deal coundnt be concluded but he remains a very good player, take nothing from this boy... he deserves to be paid around the same range as your McCathy, Pelembe, Modise and Mphela.
