According to KickOff, Tinkler believes that his side created many opportunities to win the game but does not see the missed chances of their growing frustrations.

"Obviously disappointed with the fact that we didn’t score those goals, but I'm very proud of both the strikers,” said the caretaker coach.

"I'm happy with performance of the boys, they've worked extremely hard.

“We've come through a very, very difficult period and this should be a confidence booster, a morale-booster and hopefully we can take that into our next game against Ajax."

The draw against Sundowns now sees the Sea Robbers remain in ninth position with 16 points having won and losing five games.

Pirates will look to return to winning ways in the Absa Premiership when they host Ajax Cape Town at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, December 13.

Kick-off is at 20:15.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
