Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler feels there is still room for improvement in his squad, despite back-to-back Absa Premiership wins.
The Buccaneers breathed new life into their league campaign last weekend by hammering defending champions Kaizer Chiefs 3-1, and followed that impressive performance up with a 2-1 victory away to Ajax Cape Town.
However, those results have still left Pirates in the bottom-half of the table, and Tinkler knows there is still some way to go before they can consider their domestic campaign back on track.
"It was a tough game tonight," said Tinkler.
"They (Ajax) came out highly motivated and put us under pressure right form the first whistle.
"We dealt with that well in the beginning and were very good on the transition. We caught them on the counter and we got the two-goal lead.
"Defensively after that, though, we were making way too many errors, trying to play the ball in difficult areas and creating chances for them.
"We tried to rectify that at half-time, but they came out even stronger.
"Both teams had so many chances and we just didn’t stick it away, but I am happy to get the three points."
