Tinkler lays downs trophy target

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach, Eric Tinkler, says the team will head into the 2015/16 season with the target of winning every competition they play in.

The Buccaneers are the only PSL team not to have enjoyed an off-season break, with the Soweto giants still contesting the 2015 CAF Confederations Cup, where they take on CS Sfaxien in the third round of Group B encounters on Sunday.

However, Tinkler is already looking ahead to the new PSL campaign, where title glory is very much on the coach's mind.

"My ambition is the same every season. We have the objective to win every competition we are participating in next season," he told KickOff.

"First up is the MTN8. It's important to get to the Final and win. Then it's the League. We need to start on a positive note.

"Last season we didn't win our first game. It is vital that we start very well next season and ensure we don't create the gap again like we did last season."
